Owner Spotlight: Eve Parisa
I’m Eve Parisa, the proud owner of Eve Parisa Photography.
I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.
My earliest memories of photography are of my father taking pictures of the family, on his old Zenit camera. After my grandmother sadly passed away, I was able to rekindle those cherished moments that I spent with her riding my bike, playing on the swings and listening to stories, all thanks to the photo archives, which would also go on to play a significant part in my future.
I have always had a keen interest in photography right from my college days. However, I did not see it as a career option at the time, so after graduating in Economics, I packed my bags for France to complete an MBA at the University of Nice. On my return, it led to a prosperous career as a financial planner.
Around my fortieth birthday, I started to rethink my life and wanted to do something more fulfilling. My job was paying handsomely but was no longer providing the job satisfaction I craved. Up until this point, photography had only been a pipe dream, but thinking back to how my father’s photos helped me remember my grandmother, I wanted to do something similar.
I decided to specialize in maternity and newborn photography so I could capture those once in a lifetime memories for families, and went back to college to learn the technical aspects. After finishing my course, I officially started my business as a photographer.
Since my first professional shoot, two and a half years ago, I have invested around thirty thousand dollars in education, purchasing the latest equipment and studio space, which I have not been able to recoup yet. However, I am very passionate about this field and know in the long-term my perseverance will pay dividends.
As an individual, I believe what sets me apart from the others is my consistent quality and the rapport I build with mother and child. Not all photographers have the skill or patience to work with new-born babies, but I enjoy working with beautiful babies in new-born photography, as it brings peace and joy for me.
Capturing moms-to-be with their spouse during the later stages of pregnancy has also given me immense satisfaction over the years, as those pictures portray the love and special bond for the child even before the birth.
I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
